Bellflower Grove was established in 2013. Shannon’s love for restoring furniture started when her family inherited many amazing pieces of furniture from her father-in-law. Some pieces were not Shannon’s taste, some were in need of a little paint or stain, and some were in need of a major overhaul. One of Shannon’s close friend’s had been refinishing furniture and was very helpful with advice. After refinishing some of the pieces they inherited, Shannon offered them for sale on a local Facebook Garage Sale page. She was so excited when people wanted to buy my pieces for their home!

With the success of the first pieces, she began working on and selling more custom pieces. She purchased old pieces she would refinish. For several years after that, she sold furniture from a booth in a decorators mall. To expand her skills, she attended formal painting and refinishing workshops through General Finishes, but most of her experience has come from trial and error and information acquired through painting friends and groups.

Eventually, Shannon started working on more home DIY projects. She enjoys finding ways to update and customize her home in inexpensive ways. Shannon believes in sharing her how-to’s and answering questions people have on the projects she is working on. She finds fulfillment in sharing ideas and helping others.
